The 5-Minute Palette: From Zero to Production-Ready in PaletteRx

You have a deadline. You need a color palette now. Here is the fastest reliable path through PaletteRx to get a production-ready palette in under five minutes.

Minute 1: Add Your Primary

Open PaletteRx. Add one color: your primary brand color. If you do not have one yet, pick a blue (#4f46e5) as a safe, versatile starting point. You can always change it later.

Minute 2: Accept Smart Suggestions

Open the Smart Suggestions panel. PaletteRx analyzes your primary and recommends complementary, analogous, and base colors. Accept a supporting color and both a light base and dark base. You now have 4 colors.

Minute 3: Check Balance

Move to Step 2. The balance scan tells you if anything is off. If it suggests adding more colors, go back and accept another suggestion or two. Target 6 to 8 colors total. If the scan says you are missing a warm or cool component, add one from the suggestions.

Minute 4: Verify WCAG

Move to Step 3. Scan the contrast grid. Every text-on-background pair needs to show a green checkmark for AA. If anything fails, adjust the failing color's lightness (make it darker or lighter) until it passes. This usually takes one or two adjustments.

Minute 5: Assign Roles and Export

Move to Step 4. If auto-assignment looks reasonable, accept it. If not, drag colors to the correct roles. Move to Step 5 and export to your target platform. Done.

💡 Result: In five minutes you have a balanced, accessible, role-assigned palette exported to your platform. It is not a deeply researched brand palette, but it is a solid, professional foundation you can refine later.
